As a continuation from our message dated 21-09-07 about the
disappearance in Portugal of the young girl Madeleine McCann,
N/12-05-03, we inform you about the following:

Clara Torres Garcia has informed our Albacete offices that she
has some photos that she took last August in Morocco and that in
one of them a blonde girl can be observed, who could be the
missing girl. She handed over a CD containing these photos and
				has told us the following:

Last August she was making a tourist trip in Morocco,
accompanied by her husband. They were driving south of the city
of Tangier, specifically between the cities of Chefchaouen and
Ceuta and when they were driving along a road between Zinat and
Tetouan, they observed a group of persons, a woman carrying a
girl on her back who strongly resembled Madeleine.

me and my husband have been in Majorca recently and on the 2nd
night, 22nd August, went to a bar/cafe close to our apartment
(Gotmar) Porta Pollenca. on the next table was 1 man 2 women and
I thought 1 girl about 8, there was a smaller girl in a buggy I
didn't notice until she sat to have a meal. she was facing away
from me but turned slightly and her blond hair fell forward I
thought she looked familiar, I realised who it might be but
every time I looked the man was watching me, as they were
leaving she went to get in the buggy and I saw her face, small
and dainty with green eyes, I thought she had brown eyes in the
paper but the light wasn't good, getting on for 9 pm, I rang
childline the following day but they needed me to be 100% and
the eye colour and the fact that I couldn't see if her pupil was
as pictured made me doubt myself, he also said if you see her
again ring local police, I didn't see her but saw the man about
3 days later coming from the apartments opposite ours called
				habitat.

Letter received on 11th September 2007 dated 3rd September 2007
				- contents read as follows :

I realise I should have reported this on the day or soon
afterwards. Unfortunately, due to circumstances that day being
so much against me I didn't report it, and then probably tried
to persuade myself that I was wrong. As time went on, it became
harder and harder to know what to do, because I felt it was too
late. However, I cannot live with myself if I do nothing even if
it is very late in the day.

Somewhere around the top of Sutton on the S4 route, it may have
been The Avenue, but I am not entirely sure, but it was around
that vivinity or just past it. Several people got on the bus at
the same time, including a man, woman and a little girl, who
				were together.

The little girl had her face painted as a cat. She was around 4
years old, with darkish blonde, almost light-mousy, shoulder
				length hair.

The man, woman and child sat at the back of the bus. It was when
they got up to get off the bus in St. Nicholas Way, Sutton - Bus
Stop V, that I took more notice. The woman seemed totally
divorced/detached from the little girl. The man was holding her
hand. To me, they didn't seem to be her parents, they just
didn't look right. They seemed too detached from the little
				girl.

The little girl looked at me and I smiled but she looked so sad
and didn't return the smile, although she didn't really have
time to, because at that point, the man tugged her hand pulling
her around to face the other direction, to either oull her away
from my gaze, or ready for getting off the bus. It was the
smirks look with raised eyebrows, that the woman gave to the man
just before they got off the bus, that really aroused my
suspicions, it was almost a look of "Thank God, we made it".

I didn't get a chance to see the little girl's eyes, but it went
through my mind, "Could this be Madeleine ?". Her hair was a
darker blonde though than seen on her pictures, but hair can be
coloured very easily. It was the same style, but shorter in
length than her pictures, it came just to the top of her
				shoulders.

The woman with her was dark skinned, possibly Guyanese ( or
?Malaysian) or similiar, aged 45-55 years, with short, greying,
dark hair. She was around f506(sic)....(Note : Possibly 5'
6")...She wore gold earrings, (quite chunky gold) - half hoop I
think. She wore a threequarter length black leather coat and a
				small neckerchief scarf.

				The man was around F508 / F509...(Note : Possibly 5' 8" / 5'
9")...., Thick set, not fat. White with a square looking face
and flat looking head. It was like a crew-cut on top squared
off, but short on back and sides, but overall, giving a peculiar
looking shape to his head. I took him to be a bit younger than
the woman. He was probably around 40-45ish, white male Eastern
				European.

That day I was supposed to be picked up from work by my husband,
but he had an accident in the car, and phoned to say he couldn't
pick me up and so I had to get the bus. I had trouble getting
away from work, which meant I ended up leaving later then usual.
I caught the S4 bus, which was also a little bit later than it
should have been, so arrived around 1:00 pm or just after.

I was also in a hurry to get back home because I had an
architect coming to the the house to draw plans and I was
rushing. As it turned out, 15 minutes before he was supposed to
arrive, I got a phone call to say he couldn't make it and would
				have to re-arrange.

That was a terrible waste of precious time, when I could
actually used my time to get off the bus and try to confirm if
this little girl was Madeleine or not, by trying to see her eyes
clearly. And if confirmed, doing something to get this child
				rescued.

Mrs. L. Bray, xx, Gxxxxxxx Gxxxxxx, Morden, SMx xxW, Tel :
				020864xxxxx

				********************************************************************

I spoke to Mrs Linda Bray at 1340 hours on Wednesday 12th
September 2007 and she covered the following Leicestershire
				requirements :

				Metropolitan Police

				Page 2762 (Page 3 of 3 )

The child was observed for a period of 20 minutes.
She has never seen these subjects before.
The girl had the same features as MADELEINE MCCANN.
She confirms that the date of sighting was 11th July 2007 and
the date of her written letter is 3rd September 2007.
The lighting at the time was good, daylight and unobstructed.
The distance was about 10 feet.
There was no impediment during the observation.

Further enquiries reveal that the S4 bus operated by Quality
Line, (Epsom), Coaches has CCTV but only kept for 7 days.

The Local Authority at Sutton have CCTV which is maintained by
the ZT IBO but they only retain their recordings for 31 days.

Hello, I feel I must let you know of my thoughts regarding Maddy
in the news today with photo's.
I did e-mail you 11th Sept after spotting her in a cafe one
evening in Majorca 22nd August 07. I was with my husband and we
saw her with two women, one man and a girl about 8, we sat next
				to them outside.

The pictures today, although blurry, was definitely the older
girl, and the person in jeans and girley top looks like the man,
he had long going grey hair tied back from his face and right
down his back like a biker, the woman I could see was maybe
40ish with dark short hair a bit plain, and the oother woman had
her back to me most of the time, her hair was mid blond to her
shoulders, the man and dark haired woman and older girl all
spoke with a soft Irish accent, the girl calling dark hair woman
'mammy'. The other woman didn't speak much. thats about all I
				can remember.

				Dear Gerry,

I have spoken to the Lawyer in Spain, Mr Navarro. His client,
who does not wish to give her name, does not speak English, but
her obtained some information for me at my request.

I understand the position was that she was travelling in Morocco
by car, sitting in the front passenger seat and taking
photographs randomly. It was August 31st at about 9:40 am local
				time (11:40 in Spain)

She was between Chef-Chaomen and Peponan close to Zimat in
				Morocco.

				26-09-2007

				Page 2778 (Page 2 of 4 )

She took this photograph, did not see any other Europeans
walking and looked back at the child because it was strange.

Yesterday (24th September) she read in a newspaper about a
possible sighting in Morocco and remembered what she had seen.
She then downloaded her photograph and found this one.

This morning, with her Lawyer, she went to the British Consulate
and I think the Lawyer gave some information to him.

He tells me that somehow the media have got hold of this and she
is now shaken. They do not know how. The media are running the
story in Spain but with no photograph but he is clearly worried
that this somehow will come out.

I got on extremely well with the Lawyer who clearly would like
to help and relay information. I have his contact numbers.

I would be grateful if we could speak when convenient.

				Regards

				Dear Mr Caplan,

I am a Solicitor representing the person who took the picture
with, presumably, Madeleine McCann in it.

I have been this morning in the British Consulate in Madrid
talking to Mr Antonio Gavala, and I have passed to him a copy of
the relevant picture, together with several more.

Although my clients have avoided the media, it seems that some
of them in Spain are starting to give some news about the
				matter.

By the moment, I have received two phone-calls asking for an
interview, but I have not replied yet.

I attach copy of the picture.

Please enlarge the old woman dressed in white carrying the
				blonde girl.

Please do not hesitate to contact me. Probably the mobile number
(+34 630 9xxxxx) should be more useful as I will try to be out
of the Office for a while.

				Yours faithfully

It is now difficult to remember the date when this event took
place but I know that it was the Thursday before the Madeleine
McCann case was featured on Crimewatch UK. (Note : This
programme was broadcast on 5th June 2007)

I live in Silves Gare and in the morning I wait in the village
for a bus that takes myself and my son to the school where I
teach. Opposite the bus stop there is a building that has bars
on all the bottom windows and on the door. This building used to
be single story business premises (car sales). At least a year
ago this business closed and the building was not used at all.
Then, perhaps in January, builders started building an upper
story on top. They got the shell built and then building
stopped. It is quite common here for buildings to be left
unfinished for months or years. I had seen no activity in this
				building for a long time.

That Thursday morning the door to the building was open and an
estate car (possibly navy) was parked outside at right angles to
the building with the back facing the road. A couple, who looked
Portuguese, appeared to be loading things from the building into
the back of the car. I noticed this but thought nothing of it. I
did not watch everything that they did.

The next thing I realised was that the car had been reversed
onto the road and was moving forward. In the back, looking out
of the window on my side of the road, was a small blonde-haired
girl. I could just see her face from the nose up. I was
surprised to see a blonde girl in the car as the majority of
Portuguese children are dark haired, even when young. As the car
was moving forward at this point so I only saw her for a second
and did not draw my son's attention to the incident.

I had no reason to think this was Madeleine, but thought I would
watch to see if anyone was in the building over the next few
days as I waited for my bus. There was no activity there on the
Friday morning nor on the Monday that followed.

On the Monday morning I phoned the number that was given for th
Portuguese Police. I spoke to a woman. She listened but did not
even ask for the exact location of the building. She only took
my name and home phone number at the end because I asked if she
				wanted them.

				04-09-2007

				Page 2784 (Page 2 of 2 )

I heard that the case was to feature on Crimewatch the following
evening so I watched that programme and after the programme I
contacted the number given. The approach of the person who took
that call was quite different from that of the Portuguese
				Police.

In the week or so after this incident I did see some activity
inside the building, mainly in the afternoon as we got off the
bus on our way home. I pass this building from time to time,
usually in my car, and it appears to be permanently locked up.

				That's about it.

				Subject : Madeleine McCann sighting

				Dear Sir or Madam,

I was on holiday in Corsica last week. On Wednesday the 5th
September my husband and I and our 14 month old came back from a
day trip in Calvi to L'ile Rousse (near where we were staying)
on the fast train at 4.10.

We were unable to contact my mother to pick us up at L'ile
Rousse Station, so walked into L'ile Rousse. My husband went to
a cafe to meet my dad and I too my son Axxx to the playground. I
think there is only one in L'ile Rousse centre.

In the playground there was a little girl who was with an older
couple, probably her grandparents I thought at the time. I
didn't really look carefully at the woman, though she was
probably in her late fiftys with permed grey hair. I remember
the man better, he was tall, about 60, thick-set, dark grey
				hair, olive skinned.

This little girl looked like Madeleine McCann, about 4 yrs old,
with the same hair, similar face etc. So I looked at her eyes,
and she had on the right eye a defect in the iris, a darker
green area, something a bit unusual colouring in the left also.
At the time I thought Madeleine had a pupil defect and so I
				discounted it.

The little girl was quite lively and running up the slide the
wrong way, the 'grandfather' figure said something to her in
French, he looked slightly exasperated with the active child.
She responded also in French (though it could have been Corsican
				- I understand they are quite similar). This made me think that
it could not be Madeleine because she seemed to speak French.

However when I got home, I was reading the papers and I realised
that Madeleine's eye defect is not in the pupil, but in the
iris, like the little girl I saw, and I also realised it has
been 4 months since she went missing, so she could have picked
up a bit of French/Corsican in that time.

Corsica I suppose is relatively low on British tourists. So an
abductor might risk going to a playground ??

I am really sorry for not reporting this at the time. As I said,
I discounted it for the reasons I explained.

I am a GP, so I did look (fairly) carefully at the girl's eyes.
In so much as one can when dealing with......

				Dear Sirs,
I have been asked by a contact at Leicestershire Police to
e-mail you some details, and enclose some pictures I took of a
little girl, who I believed looked very similar to Madeleine
McCann, and as such I enclose some pictures I took when I was on
a recent family holiday in Portugal, not only of the little girl
but also of her Father and of a lady who also appeared to be a
part of this party, but was never ever together with either the
				little girl or the father.

Before I go into more details I must please ask you to take this

Essentially how I came to take these pictures is as follows.

My wife, I and our small daughter (2 years old) were on holiday
in a village called Carvoeiro, in the Algarve, circa 20km from
Praia Da Luz, and we decided one day (7th September 2007) to go
to a major sandcastle building exhibition, not far from our
rented villa in Carvoeiro. This exhibition is known as
				FIESA.........(Note : 3-4 illegible words here).

We had been walking around the exhibition for about an hour and
it was about 12:30pm when I saw a little girl being pushed on a
swing by her "father". I immediately had a double take as it
looked very similar to Madeleine. I said to my wife that I was
concerned but my wife said that she was sure it was not her.
After about 10 to 15 minutes I was still feeling very
uncomfortable with what I had seen so I went to a small sand-pit
in the exhibition where children could play and I saw the little
girl again. This time I took several pictures of the little
girl, all the time pretending I was trying to take pictures of
my daughter / surrounding sand sculptures. I enclose these
pictures for your attention. The things that concerned me most
was that the little girl was most definitely white, whilst her
"father" was of a skin persuasion that was much darker, secondly
the little girl had clothes that did not seem to fit her
properly, hardly what one would have expected of caring parents,
thirdly the little girl had a dummy, perhaps not that unusual
but given her estimated age and the fact that our daughter who I
guess is slightly younger does not usually have her own dummy in
very much. This little girl never took the dummy out of her
mouth. A couple of other things further concerned me, a) the
little girl was never given any significant period of time to
play in any one area, she was always being lifted and moved away
from whatever she was doing and b) there seemed to be a lady (of
white persuasion) who was a part of the party but never ever
with either the child or the gentleman whom I have referred to
as her "father". This struck me as most unusual as there was no
				direct contact between..........

				01-10-2007

				Page 2805 (Page 2 of 3 )

........... "mother" and "father" or the child, indeed when the
party were walking away from the area where I was the "mother"
				strode on ahead.

I was feeling uncomfortable with the whole situation so I tried
to see if I could see them getting into a car so I could take a
picture of the car / number plate but this was to no avail.

Following this we returned to our villa and I went immediately
to the Police Station in Carvoeiro with my digital camera and
showed the local Police the pictures, they then asked me to go
to one of the main (I think they called it Judiciary) Police
Stations in Portimao with the pictures, which I drove myself to.
Unfortunately, being a tourist abroad I did not manage to hit
the main Judiciary Police Station, but instead ended up circa
1km from that Station at another major Police Station.

Upon showing one detective the pictures I was ushered upstairs
to have the pictures downloaded where suddenly there was what I
would describe as "a hive of activity" with several Police
Detectives trying to measure up on the computer screen
dimensions etc. They also stated that one of the pictures in
particular (CIMG 2014) and furthermore (CIMG 2011) looked
				similar.

After circa 30 minutes I was advised that I would need to get my
passport for identification purposes and the Police drove me
back to our villa in Carvoeiro, then back to the Police Station
in Portimao where I had initially taken the pictures. During the
journey I apologised for potentially wasting Police time but was
told that there had been about 6 to 8 people looking at my
pictures and they said that they could not say it was not the
little girl and that my pictures had already been taken to one
of the key Investigators for analysis. Upon returning to the
Police Station I was "rather brusquely" told they had my details
and that I should go now and enjoy my holiday, and with that I
				promptly left.

The next day I was still concerned and called the UK
Crimestoppers number but to be honest I felt I was being treated
like some sort of fool, and I was told that I should do nothing
more if I had passed over the photographs already.

The newspapers today have however prompted me to try and speak
to someone else as I have had no feedback from the Portuguese
Police in any manner or form, and I would appreciate some form
of update as to what happened with my pictures after I left the
Station. I am also a little uncomfortable about the pictures I
took, and while I believe the pictures of the little girl I took
show a girl perhaps a bit too small, and perhaps with a bit too
much of a belly, the fact that I was also advised by the
Portuguese Police that this could have been because of a poor
diet does not offer me much comfort.

I genuinely do hope that you view the pictures I took and
understand not only why I took them but also why I still have
some concerns and am contacting you. Please please note that
this is not some form of crank on the back of todays media
headlines. I am a very well-balanced father and husband, who has
a senior role in a major retailer who is genuinely concerned
over the pictures I took, the events I witnessed and the lack of
follow-up information from the Portuguese Police.

I therefore request that you try and look into this a bit
further, and ask that if you do have any desire for further
details you do not hesitate to contact me.

				Kind Regards,

					FORM C.

RISK ASSESSMENT PROCESS FOR USE IN DISSEMINATION OF
					INTELLIGENCE/EVIDENTIAL MATERIAL

					1) Does the material contain confidential or sensitive
					material : No

					2) If yes, are there any restrictions on use, or requirement
for special handling, imposed by the originating Officer ? :
					N/A

					3) Are there any ethical, personal, or operational risks
that are likely to result as a consequence of this
dissemination ? (The test of proportionality requires
assessment of both the character & standing of subject & the
likely consequence to that individual arising from the
dissemination, given the nature & seriousness of the crime)
					:

This intelligence relates to the abduction of Madeleine
McCann. The extremely serious nature of this offence
dictates that all possible efforts to locate and safely
recover her should be expedited. As a consequence potentil
infringements upon individuals human rights etc, as well as
possible collateral intrusion, should be viewed as lesser in
importance than her safety and well being. Given the huge
amount of public interest generated as a result of this case
it would be hoped that most individuals would be prepared to
tolerate potential minor personal intrusions as by-products
of the Police quest to locate Madeleine McCann.

					4) What is the purpose of this dissemination ? : To assist
crime agencies in the protection of life.

					5) Are there any special conditions relating to the
retention of this material ? : This document should be the
subject of secure Police storage procedures, and only
					disseminated under supervision.

					6) Having identified any risks, detail the plan to manage
the risk (including requirements for PII if applicable) :

The potential risks in this case are currently deemed as
low. Although the name and personal details of the source
are known to the submitting Officer, little else is known of
that person due to the fact that they are currently in
Holland. It would be expected at this time that the details
of the source are kept confidential at this present time and
a p.i.i application may need to be considered if proceedings
arise, as well as a further risk assessment when further
information is known of the source.

					7) In the light of the assessment, is the handling code
					correct ? : Yes

					8) Signature of Officer authorising dissemination. (Note -
We can accept this form without a written signature if it is
emailed directly from the authorising Officer or forwarded
					via another Officer) : (Unsigned)

				Subject : Madelene(sic)

				Good evening.

My name is Manfred Janson. I am Norwegian and have a summerhouse
				in Salema, Urbanicao Lematur 52.
I am down here for my annual summer holiday.

Friday on the 7th September I went for a walk to the Figueira
Beach together with my wife and some friends.
On our way back entering into Figueira I spotted a small car
type Cliof C3 or similar - dark coloured with registration no
				'xx xx xx'.
The driver was a young man of abt(sic) 30 years of age and in
the back seat was a little girl who reminded me very much of the
missing Madelene. He drove into Figueira by the bus stop and
parked the car, but only for a second or two, then backed out
again and stopped outside a house. I thought he would park
there. He looked around and turned to say something to the
little girl in the back seat and suddenly he just drove away the
same way as he had arrived.
The sun was up and the car's windows were a bit dark so I could
not see the girl very well and only for a few seconds.
I thought it a bit odd, and made a note of the car's
registration number. The others saw nothing and I have not told
				anyone about my experience.

I do not want to create any unnecessary activity in this
terrible case, but I have not been able to rest at ease after
this, which is why I called you tonight. I assume it will be
very easy for you to find out about this car, and most likely it
will prove to be a complete innocent activity by a young father
				and his daughter.

At first I decided to forget it and consider it just a trick of
the mind, but I cannot just leave it, and even if it is probably
just nothing - I will relax more having informed you.

Under any circumstances I wish you good luck in your very
				difficult work.

				Sincerely yours,

				Manfred Janson

Subject : TIP-OFF REGARDING MADELEINE MCCANN - POSSIBLY SPOTTED
				IN NORWAY

Today, Interpol Oslo received a tip-off regarding Madeleine
McCann. She was possibly observed at the cafe 'Slobrua
Gjesttegaard' in Skarnes, Norway, on Monday 10th September 2007
at around 1615. Two men, around 35-37 years of age, nicely
dressed, came to the cafe in the company of a girl whom the
witness believes resembles Madeleine. According to the witness,
the girl seemed to be around 4 years old. One of the men spoke
				Swedish, the other Norwegian.

The witness thought that the girl behaved in an "unusual" way.
She seemed to be very polite, and she sat quite still at the
table and did not speak unless spoken to. The men spoke to her
in English, and she replied in the same language. She did not
seem to be afraid or worried.

The men drove a black VW Passat with Swedish license number
				'xxxxxx'.

According to the Swedish Police, the license num ber is
registered to 'Vxxxxxxxx, Rxxxxx Hxxx Oxx, date of birth :
				080376, in Dalarna, Sweden.

Neither the persons nor the car are known to Police Records.

We hope this information may be useful to your investigation.

				FOR POLICE/COURT USE ONLY

				Best regards,

				Interpol Oslo

Hello - My name is Christina Zettner and I live in the US. Since
Madeleine disappeared I have been emailing her poster to many
				contacts throughout Europe
and North Africa (hotels, car rentals, ports, etc). I have been
contacted by one of the people in Italy who received my email
and poster. I have urged him to contact the Portuguese and UK
POlice but in case he does not, I am forwarding his message to
you. He refers to a previous message but I do not recall
receiving one because of course, I would have forwarded it to
the campaign. I am sending the full text of the email and the
person's contact information. It sounds legitimate because the
gentleman indicates he is a former Policeman with contacts on
the Police Force. He also provides a telephone contact number
				and his email address is
				'hostlebrindisi@xxxxxxx.com'
. My contact information is Christina Zettner, 'xxxx' Axxxxx
Dxxxx, Wxxx Cxxxxxx, Pennsylvania, US 19380 phone 484-80x-xxxx.

Email Text : Hi again, I wrote to you a few months ago and I am
writing to reassure you that although the news seem to have
forgotton about "little one" I haven't and I keep on looking and
spreading the word. I have a picture in the hall of my hostel
and one in the window of the van I use for customers transport.
There's one thing I would like to inform you about. A few weeks
ago, at one of the traffic lights in Brindisi (my city) I
thought I saw a little girl, blond, definitely not Italian,
about 1 metre tall. What got my attention was a "sad look" on
her face (normally those children are shameless and invasive),
she was just walking around between cars like beggars do, but
not talking to anyone. There were a few adults , I think
Romanians, in the area, begging as well, they were (i think
pretending to be crippled in order to get the drivers to give
some money). There was also a little boy about 8 or 9, the
difference was that the boy looked like he belonged with them,
the little girl didn't. If those people were the parents, the
girl didn't look like she was the daughter of any of them. Since
there have been a lot of them in the area, at first I didn't pay
a lot of attention to it, but once I got back to the hostel and
saw Madeleine's picture.... a horrendous thought came to my
mind. I drove back to the same traffic light (with the intention
of personally "hurt" any adult with that girl if I would have
seen the birth mark in her eye and responded to English
Language) but by the time I got back there they were all gone. I
am a former Policeman, so of course I informed personally all my
former colleagues (still in active duty) but although we've all
been there often, there hasn't been any traces of those people
ever since. I never until now wrote to you about this because I
didn't want to sound like those people looking for fame that
normally get in the way of investigations, at least until I
would have had more reliable information. I am passing on what I
know in case at the time of the abduction, there were similar
individuals (Romanians and gypsies) in the area and also because
Brindisi is a port mainly connected to Greece, Albania and
Turkey (loads of Romanians travel by car to those countries),
and there are a lot of bus direct lines to Romania, Bulgaria
etc. I hope this information can be of some help. Don't hesitate
to call me if you have any questions.

				Maurizio Lotesoriere 0039 338 32x xxxx

				Thank you for your co-operation.

Subject : Madeleine McCann

Hello. I am only writing because I have a very bright 7 year old
				- she's bright and determined.

Since last week she has been talking about a girl in our local
grocery store that looks like a missing girl.

Well, you know how this is you work, you pick up kids, you have
a list a mile long and the young one is talking non-stop in the
				car about God knows what.

Today she says, "Mom they showed that girl again on tv that I
saw in the store". My response is "What ?"

She goes on to explain... "Remember last week when I say that
girl with blonde hair and big wyes in Baker's with that man with
all the tatoos and she just kept smiling at me and then the dad
(the man with tatoos) looked at me like he wanted to help me or
thought I was lost - I think that's the girl".

Now, I am not trying to get anyone's hopes up and it is a huge
long shot to think that Madeleine McCann is in Bellevue, NE, but
my daughter, Gxxxxxx, who is 7 years old keeps talking about it.
She even asked me to look it up so I could show her pictures and
we went through several missing children and she said, "I think
that is her", when I came to the widely publicized picture of
				Madeleine McCann.

Like I said, it's a long shot and highly unlikely, but as a mom
I could not pass along the info. You know, the store has video
cameras - you can check the past couple of weeks if need be -
it's just a thought. Again, as a mom I would cling to anything
so I had to pass this along.

				God Bless

I saw a little girl today that looked like Madeleine at a
McDonald's on 63rd Street in Woodridge, Il. She was with a man
she called dad. This little girl did look like the man she was
with. It probably was her father. Her eyes were definitely blue.
I didn't get close enough to see if she had that amrk in her eye
because I think the man noticed I was staring at her. I'm not
sure but he either called the little girl Natalie or Madeleine.
This was about between 12:20 to 2:00 today September 14. Again
the little (girl) seemed will(sic)...(possibly meant
"well")...comfortable with the man and obviously liked him. The
little girl also did look like the man she called dad so it
				probably was her father.

During the summer I saw a French family with a small girl
fitting Madalegne's(sic) description in central France, stopped
in a lay-by. The family seemed uneasy and the older "parents"
had dark hair as did a girl of about 10 who was with them. The
younger girl had blonde hair and the older woman seemed to keep
hold of her - she wasn't allowed to wander off at all.
For some reason I wrote down the number of the car - if you can
investigate I will gladly send you the French car number. I am a
teacher and I must admit that until I saw recent photos of
Madalegne(sic) in the UK press I haven't thought any more about
				the incident.

				Exactly seven
days ago on 25th September 2007 at 10.20 A.M. when I was at an
Information Centre in Montmartre opposite Basilica Sacré Coput
in the city of Paris, France, I had just spent the week watching
the Rugby World Cup. The reason I was in the Info Centre was to
find out what bus would take me to Monet Gallery. There were
quite a few people in the Information Centre at the time, approx
twelve I think. I got the information I required and walked
outside to get the bus. It was a clear bright morning and the
sun was shining. Outside I did not know which side of the street
the Nº 30 bus would stop.

I asked a man who walked past but he did not speak English. I
noticed a woman and a child in a pram and I asked the little
girl in the pram jokingly “Do you know what side the Nº 30 bus
stops”. The little girl lifted her head up and I thought I’d
seen this girl before saying to myself “I’ve seen that girl
somewhere before”. I them said to the little girl, “Would your
mummy know?”. She said something but I couldn’t understand or
hear it but she seemed to understand what I was talking about. I
would describe the woman as somebody who I would describe as a
professional, like a doctor or solicitor. She was white,
approximately 5’6”, medium to large build with blond hair tied
neatly back in a ponytail. I saw this woman from a side profile
only but would describe her face as long or sharp. I would say
this woman was aged between 25-26 yrs old. She seemed to be
deliberately trying to look away from me. She was wearing a dark
brown ¾ length leather jacket and it looked of good quality. I
did not see what she was wearing under the jacket. She was
wearing loose fitting light blue jeans that stood out because
they were such a bright light blue.

I would describe the little girl as follows. Approximately 4 years old
with shoulder length blond hair. I am not 100% sure about the
colour of the eyes but I think they were dark in colour. She was
white with pale skin and a pale face. She was wearing a dark
grey coat which appeared to be wrapped around her inside the
pram. It was a long sleeved coat and the coat was down over her
feet so it was quite long. I noticed a pocket in the top part of
the coat. I could not see what she was wearing underneath. I
would describe the pram as follows. It had four wheels, the
colour was like a rusty colour.

The handles came straight up and across the back, like you see
on most prams. I was standing approximately four feet from the
little girl and the woman. I was looking at them for
approximately two-three minutes. This was a constant observation
with no obstructions to my view. I had never seen these two
people before. I also noticed that the little girl had a doll, a
Barbie doll about 18 inches long and the little girl was holding
it in her right hand. The doll did not have any clothing on it.
I noticed several CCTV cameras in the area and I noticed one in
				particular at the Information Centre.

I was wearing a blue denim jacket and blue trousers with a blue
pullover and yellow tie. I am approximately 5’7” years old with
grey hair receding at the front. At 10.25 my bus arrived and I
lost sight of the woman and the little girl. I then arrived back
in Ireland the same day at approximately 11.00 P.M. On Tuesday
2nd October 2007 exactly seven days later at 12.00 I picked up
an edition of the Mail on Sunday dated 30th September 2007. On
the second or third page I saw a picture of Mrs McCann the
mother of Madeleine McCann. It was at this stage that I
remembered my encounter with the woman and the little girl in
Paris. The little girl that I saw and spoke to that day in Paris
I can 250% say it was Madeleine (sic) McCann. I definitely seen
(sic) her. Like I say my encounter was seven days ago and I am
now reporting it to the police after reading the paper today. It
was definitely Madeleine McCann that I seen (sic) and spoke to. |

				TEXT:

				We inform you
that Malaga police received a phone call at about 17.00 hours on
26-09-07 from mobile nº **** from a Moroccan woman who had
recently been on holiday in Morocco and who observed the minor
Madeleine missing from Portugal and who wanted to provide more
				information.

				Personal
contact was taken up with the informant, who said that she had
been on holiday in her country until 25-09-07 and that on the
21st at about 16.00 hours, when she was passing through Fnidk in
Morocco (close to the border with Melilla) she observed a woman
aged about 50 with a scarf on her head, who was leading a girl
by the hand, who was wearing an orange shirt, had long blond
hair and she noticed that she had the mark in the eye known to
be that of the missing Madeleine.. She appeared to have a dummy
hanging from her neck, a custom that is not practised in
Morocco, recognising her without any doubt. She approached these
persons, seeing the girl from a very close distance and when she
got near to the woman the latter got into a Mercedes taxi and
				left the scene.

				According to
the informant, she also tried to get into the taxi, given that
in Morocco this kind of taxi tends to transport several people
at the same time. The woman with the girl told the taxi driver
to leave the scene, not allowing the witness into the vehicle
and that she only managed to get the taxi driver’s card.

				That given
the certainty that she had that the girl was the missing child
she later phoned the taxi driver, who said that he had left both
passengers in Housima, a village in the Rif close to Nador, in
				Morocco.

				The taxi
driver was apparently called S. Mohammed with mobile number
				++++++.

				This woman
says she will collaborate in all that is necessary.

				All of this
was communicated to Interpol Rabat with the aim of carrying out
all the necessary inquiries to locate the child and they will
inform us of their result, as well as Interpol Lisbon, Interpol
				London and Interpol General Secretariat.

				We thank you
				in advance for your collaboration.

I live at the above address with my wife J******* and have lived
				her for 31 years.

About 1614 hours on 28 August 2007 I was in Real Foods, 37
Broughton Street Edinburgh. I was alone throughout. I came out
of Real Foods and turned left towards York Place. I noticed an
adult female with a child either side walking towards me.

I can describe the adult female as well built, plumpish, late
thirties, early forties about 5"1, white and younger child being
held by hand of woman. The younger child was approximately 3
				years old.

The young child to the right of the woman, suspected as Maddy,
was approximately 4 years old and about 2"6 in height and taller
than the other child. It was the hair on the elder child that
drew my attention as it was very much like the image of the
Moroccan child from the media, being wavy and just below the
ear. The hair was quite fair. I managed to get a quick glance at
the face, but noticed there was no red eye in the pupil.

They were then passed me and by the time I looked back I had
walked about 20 metres and could not see them because there were
				people in the way.

I can recall the elder child was wearing a fair or white coat, I
didn't notice a hood, but coat was padded and quite long, maybe
mid-leg. I returned home and called the police about 1730 hours.

Kirkland Street, Peebles where they were lost from sight. The
witness states that they appeared to know where they were going
and were walking normally and seemed quite comfortable in each
other’s company although they were not speaking. The witness
observed the two for approx. One minute although is unable to
				give detailed descriptions.

				There is no
CCTV covering the immediate area and town centre. CCTV has been
checked out although this is some distance from where the two
were sighted with a negative result. A primary school and
nursery are situated approx. 600-700 metres from where the
sighting was made and at the material time children were being
returned to them following lunch. Enquiries carried out at the
school and nursery identified several young girls that matched
the description given by the witness.

				There are
serious concerns regarding the reliability of the witness due to
her age, admitting to taking tranquillisers following a
breakdown several years ago and having mental health issues. It
would appear that she is avidly following the case in the media
and appears to be recalling the description of Madeleine when
trying to describe the female seen at the material time. She
also intimated that she did not like the Portuguese and has been
praying to God for Madeleine’s return.

				This
statement consisting of 3 pages, each signed by me, is true to
the best of my knowledge and belief and I make it knowing that,
if it is tendered in evidence, I shall be liable to prosecution
if I have wilfully stated in it anything which I know to be
false or do not believe to be true.

				Dated the
				16th day of October 2007.

				I live at the
stated address with my husband A. MacDonald. I am fully aware of
the ongoing investigation into the missing child known as
				Madeleine McCann.

				On 30th
September 2007, my husband and I along with my brother and his
wife departed from Edinburgh Airport for a twelve day holiday in
Arroyo de la Miel, Benalnedena on the Costa del Sol.

				On the
morning of Wednesday 3rd October 2007, all four of us left our
hotel, namely the Jupiter and went for a walk. About 11.00
hours, same date we were walking along the pavement on the
opposite side of the road from the local Arroyo de la Miel train
station, which I think is on either Aves station or Aves
Construction (street name). About 200 yards past the train
station my attention was drawn towards three young girls who
were heading towards us on the same side of the roadway, they
were accompanied by an elderly woman. The girls were skipping
along hand in hand saying in English “Atishoo, Atishoo” as in
the line from the nursery rhyme. The girls were laughing and in
good spirits. I thought this was rather cute although didn’t pay
				it any more attention.

				I was
approximately 4-5 feet away from the girls as they passed by,
the girl closest to me looked up, and I immediately thought that
she looked like the girl Madeleine McCann. I stopped, turned
round for a second to look at the girl but they just kept
walking. The girl was of a similar age to Madeleine McCann and
her face resembled that of Madeleine, although her hair was
light brown in colour and shoulder length. The only thing that
made me think it could be her, was the strong facial
resemblance. I only had a fleeting glance at her face and could
not see the documented distinguishing marks on her eye.

				I commented
to my husband, brother and his wife that I thought the girl
looked like Madeleine McCann, and we continued to watch them in
the hope that the girl would turn around again in order to
confirm my suspicions. The girls continued to skip along and I
lost sight of them as they merged with other pedestrians, the
				girl never looked back.

				I didn’t feel
comfortable approaching the girls or the woman as I was
concerned at what their reactions might have been and if they
would make any allegations against myself, if my suspicions were
wrong. I would have needed to be 100% sure of what I had seen
				before I would attempt this.

				The woman is
described as being about 60 years of age, short grey combed back
hair, British looking with a pale complexion, not tanned,
approximately 5’12 tall, petite build. She was wearing a pale
grey coloured skirt and a navy blue short sleeved T shirt. There
is nothing else distinguishing about her.

				The girl who
I thought was Madeleine is described as being about 4 years old,
light brown shoulder length hair, pale complexion, not tanned,
clothing no further described. Striking resemblance facially to
Madeleine but didn’t see distinguishing mark on her eye.

				The girl next
to her holding her hand was approximately 6 years old, about a
head height taller than her, very blonde shoulder length, again
pale complexion, not tanned, no further description.

				I did not get
a look at the third girl and can not describe her, although she
was a similar age and height to the other two girls.

				I am aware of
the circumstances surrounding Madeleine McCann’s disappearance
which was further brought to my attention, when on collecting my
Euros prior to going on holiday, I was given a pamphlet as some
sort of awareness campaign at the Post Office. The pamphlet had
a picture of Madeleine McCann and contact phone numbers on it.
Therefore when on holiday I was looking for any girls matching
Madeleine’s age and description and I would have a close look at
them and the possibility of identifying her. I didn’t actively
go looking for her, but I was more vigilant than usual.

				I didn’t have
a camera with me at that time and therefore have no photos of
				the incident.

				Caller has
been staying in Fez for one year (Morocco) and last week she saw
a beggar woman with 2 children – one looked like her child (very
dark and already haggard) and the other child – dressed like a
boy with short hair and short was fine featured and very blonde
and not haggard and caller thinks this could be Madeleine. She
saw her about 22.00 and there were street lights and she did not
speak to the woman and there is no CCTV and was a few yards away
from her but no contact. The road where they were is Mohammed
the Fifth near Hassan the Second, near the post office. |

				My husband
and I strongly believe we may have seen Madeleine with a man in
a restaurant while on vacation in Mexico. At first we just had a
weird feeling that the little girl at the table next to us
didn’t belong with the man. The way she looked at us and her
unmatching clothes and not being well groomed, and the fact that
the man wouldn’t turn around and look at us directly even when
we were non verbally corresponding with the little girl. When we
got back to our hotel and caught a bit of the news, Madeleine’s
picture came up and my husband and I both looked at each other
with the same sinking feeling that she looked just like her
except the picture looked a lot younger and we thought the
little girl at the restaurant was about 4. When I got home and
looked up her pictures and age etc. I feel even more strongly
now that it was her. I’ve been trying to look at more pictures
of missing little girls about her age and haven’t seen one yet
that resembles her except Madeleine. I have more details however
am not sure who to contact that will take this very serious
(sic) and not leak it to the media so that the kidnapper has
				time to flee.

				concerned mother myself.

				1. The exact
location of the sighting including any nearby buildings and
whether you noticed any CCTV cameras nearby.

				I doubt they
have cameras – small town of San Felipe in Baja California
Mexico on the Sea of Cortez, the restaurant – Bajamar on the
main cruising ship – Mar de Cortez, right along the beach.

				2. The day,
date and time of the sighting.

				Saturday the
6th between 5.00 and 6.30 PM (They were already at their table
when we were seated next to them).

				3. Details of
clothing items that she was wearing.

				Light green T
shirt with a horse on it and a turquoise Mexican shirt with
				sequences and dirty thongs.

				4.
Description of the child including any distinctive marks, scars
				or other features.

				She looked
very much like the pictures, thin /avg 4 yr old size. Her eyes
looked very dark from a distance but when she came around the
table closer, I could see blue green colour, I didn’t notice the
black line as it was a little dark and she probably wasn’t close
enough. Her cute little nose matches the pictures exactly. Her
hair fine blonde just like the photos – longer than the most
recent photo – bangs were kind of covering her eyebrows. Her
hair looked a little dirty and not shiny and brushed like if a
woman was involved and her clothes didn’t match.

				5.
Circumstances of the sighting including anyone she was seen
with, any vehicles and her demeanour.

				Her staring
into our eyes when we 1st saw her – I can’t explain the feeling
my husband and I both got (almost like she recognised us or
there was desperation.. She was busy, would walk around the
table – the man kept telling her to sit down. At one point she
seemed to be testing him while she watched us. The tables were
outside right by the sidewalk, street and then beach and ocean.
When she stood up by the railing looking towards the street, he
nudged her with the chair and she sat down on it. He seemed very
suspicious, not talking much, never turned around and looked at
us even though we were smiling back and forth with the little
girl. He looked a little older late 50’s or 60’s, graying hair,
white baseball cap, maybe 6 foot or just shy, a little
overweight. He was very normal looking but big nose and ears. I
never heard any names or references such as Grandpa. She
whispered something in his ear and he said something back and
then I heard her say something like “but you said they were
				sad”.

				6. Any
photographs that you make (sic) have taken of her?

				I wish I
would have thought of that. I took a picture of the lighthouse
out the view and her arm is in it, but at the time my husband
and I were just suspicious thinking that maybe this little girl
didn’t belong with the guy. It wasn’t until we caught a bit of
the news later that night and saw Madeleine’s picture that my
husband and I both thought how much it looked like her but the
news said age 3 and we were certain the girl was more like 4.
And being so far from Portugal, we at the point thought it
probably wasn’t her. But it kept bothering us, so when we got
home I searched the Internet for her and other missing children
and found out she is 4 and saw all the other pictures of her and
the video (the picture of her in the dark blue chang (sic) shirt
really struck me and her expressions in the video) and that is
when we thought everything is adding up, not to mention the
sitings (sic) in Argentina and Guatemala, which if he was
sailing would be right along the way.

				7. Any
additional information that you feel may be of benefit to
				investigate this sighting further.

				San Felipe
would be a great hiding place – not too many tourists, mostly
Mexicans and the federales seem pretty laid back. When they left
the restaurant they walked north on the sidewalk right past
where we were sitting. I thought it was odd that we didn’t see
meals brought to them, unless they ate before we got there, but
if that is the case, they sat there a long time after. She just
had a shirley temple that she barely sipped on and I think I saw
her munch on one chip. I wish I would have done more like ask
her name and take a picture.

				My husband
and I feel very strongly that it was her. I feel so strongly
that I want to go back down there and look for her, but I don’t
know what I would do if I saw her again and I’m all the way up
in Idaho. I hope this helps. Someone needs to go there right
				away.

				Hello,

				Probably not
this little girl, but sure did look like her. The only thing was
the child was dressed as a little boy, the same size, hair
colour and eyes. Though I am not sure about the eye that is
				different.

				I was not
paying that close attention during the long flight from
Amsterdam to Memphis International Airport on Sunday, October 7,
				2007.

				The plane
landed in Memphis at around 4 P.M. The child was well behaved
during the flight and stood up several times to look at me for
only a few seconds. The woman was in her late 30’s with brown
hair, and was also travelling alone, she looked to be about 5’
8’ tall. The child looked so much like this little girl and is
haunting me to the point that I have been searching on my
computer to see pictures of this little girl so that I might see
what she would look like with short hair.

				Thanks.

After seeing a side view picture of Madeleine McCann in
yesterdays Sunday Mirror, it started me thinking again, of a
girl I had seen on holiday. I could not get her out of my mind,
so went to see a friend, a retired police officer and ask for

"There are to many similarities for you not to contact the

Notts police gave me this email address.

When the couple in the photo's saw me with the camera they
