Inft noticed the van in her rear-view mirror, the van held back
from her car
And the Inft saw the male getting the female child to pull her
hood over her head
Inft states that the child appeared distressed when the male was
pulling her hood over her face
She was not wearing a seatbelt

We have 3 possible sightings of Madeleine Mccann in Italy.
1. A sighting at 16.00hrs Wednesday 30th May 2007, at the Train
Station, FLORENCE. The child was a white female, with blond
hair, and was with a woman described as a gypsy of non-European
appearance. They were begging.
2. A sighting at 11.30hrs Thursday 31st May 2007 in the harbour
area at GENOA. The caller has supplied an Italian phone number
and is happy to talk to the Police.
3. A sighting at 18.30hrs Saturday 19th May in San Giacomo
Square, UDINE. The girl was seen with a traveller playing music.
The caller has left an Italian phone number and is happy to talk
further.
REQUEST.
We request that local enquiries be completed to try to clarify
these reports. Where local phone numbers have been given we
request that the callers be spoken to, to ascertain any further
information.
Any CCTV at these locations should be preserved.

On Wednesday 30th May 2007 at approximately 1800 hours, whilst
sat in traffic on Epsom High Street outside the McDonalds
Restaurant, the Inft has reported seeing a girl who she beleived
to be Madeleine McCann.
The Inft was sat in her car and has seen the girl sat by a table
by a window inside the restaurant.

following first description was provided :
Approximately 5 years of age
Blonde chin length hair
Wearing some sort of costume which was grey and black in colour
The girl was in company with two adult females and they were
described as :
FEMALE 1 :
White coloured skin
Long dark hair
Small to medium build
40 to 50 years of age
Wearing greenish or torquoise top
FEMALE 2 :
White coloured skin
Blonde short hair
Heavy build
40 to 50 years of age
White coloured top with a black coloured top over the top of it
The young girl looked happy and did not look in distress or
upset
The Information was originally reported by the Inft at the time
of seeing them (1807 hours 30th May 2007) by using 999.
Unfortunately there were no Units available to attend the
Location and OPS 1 and OPS 2 were made fully aware.
CCTV - There are 2 CCTV cameras covering the street, however one
of them was facing in an opposite direction and the other has
been reviewed but unfortunately the camera was zoomed out and as
such the footage of persons shown in the recording is unclear.
There are CCTV cameras believed to be inside McDonalds at the
time of completing this Report, these have not been viewed -
This will be completed as a matter of urgency.

This man was well-set in build, aged about 50, stubble around
his face, grey short/long(sic) hair. The little girl had a hat
on, wearing a dark coloured poncho shawl and hair in ponytail, I
remember because that day was very hot and she was dressed
wintery - They got off the bus between rg and wx(sic) and he was
kinda pulling her across the road. They were with another man
who was younger and he had a Sainsbury's carrier bag, they went
off towards a side road, which had a park ....nfds(sic)

lives in JEREZ DE LA FRONTERA, (Spain), has advised us that at
1800 on Saturday (26th) as she was coming out of the supermarket
'Mediamark' in Jerez, she saw a girl that could be
Melani(sic)(sic), who was abducted in Portugal, in a vehicle
(possibly a red Ford) with foreign registration, which she took
down : 'x-xxx-x'.
She does not know if there is any link but when she was inside
the shop she saw a man who was around 40 years old, tall with
glasses who spoke in English but she could not confirm that it
was him driving the vehicle.
The above is for your information and any relevant action you

In relation to the Madeleine McCann case, we have 4 possible
sightings within the USA.
1. Saturday 26th May 2007. At the County recycling depot, Halls,
KNOXVILLE, TENNESSEE. Girl seen sitting in the rear of a red
Honda station-wagon, registered number xxx xxx. The car was
driven by a white female, about 30 years old, with fair hair.
2. 10th May 2007. At unknown location, SANTA CRUZ, CALIFORNIA.
Seen in a white van with Californian registration, xxxxxxx. This
information was passed to Don Austin at Thursday's Child
Charity, Los Angeles, tel 001-81886xxxxx, by a reporter named
Susan at the Santa Cruz Sentinel Newspaper.
3. 18.00hrs Friday 1st June 2007. The Red Lobster Restaurant,
120 Disk Drive, RAPID CITY, SOUTH DAKOTA. Seen with blond female
and a group of 7 - 8 men.
4. 14th May 2007. Seen walking with a man and woman in the town
od TAHOA, HAWAII. Caller was a Jane RAINEY and there are no
further details. We request that this sighting be passed for
information only should any other sighting be reported in
Hawaii.
As these enquiries are received by UK CrimeStoppers' lines,
there are no further details available.
REQUEST.
It is requested that enquiries be made to confirm or eliminate
these sightings. In premises where CCTV is present it is
requested that they be preserved and checked.
It is requested that vehicle owners be traced in relation to
these sightings.

2003.
Further to previous correspondence concerning the above Subject,
please be advised that on 1st June 2007, a caller phoned our
services in Castglione Fiorentino (Arezzo) advising them that he
had seen a family, probably of foreign origin, who had a small
child very much resembling the above missing McCann Madeleine
Beth.
Although he could not be absolutely certain that the child in
question was in fact McCann, he wrote the car registration
number 'xx-xxx-xx'. This vehicle, an Alfa Romeo 147, was hired
from the Avis Company in Rome to Rxxxx Pxxxx Dxxxxxxxx, born in
GB on xx-January 1943, residing in xxxxxxxx xxxxxxxx, xxxxxx xxx
xxxx, xxxxxxxxxx, xxxxxxxxx, Lancashire.
The above is for your information and for any action you may
deem fit.

Portuguese Police says that they keep on working in the case,
the truth is that days are passing and there are no news about
where is Madeleine. (...)
Her parents started a European tour (...) to take her picture to
all corners of Europe. Until now, the only thing that has been
revealed is the description of a Caucasian man, 1.75 metres
high, dark skin, strongly built, between 35 and 40 years old,
who could have taken the girl, wrapped in a blanket, the night
she disappeared, and dressing a dark coat and light coloured
trousers.
This man has a name and a surname and the investigative
journalist Antonio Toscano, who, since a few years, has been
working with similar disappearances, guarantees that he knows
him. According to his investigations, the alleged kidnapper of
Madeleine was seen in Seville, a week before her disappearance,
saying that he was on his way to Algarve, to visit some friends.

On Saturday evening, 2nd June (5.30-5.45pm) I saw four women
sitting on a bench under a large tree, between the Marina
Footbridge, Lagos, and the spot where the African man sells
wooden ornaments made in Senegal.
All four women were dressed identically - all wore black head
dress on black shawls, only their faces were visible. They
appeared to me to be of Bosnian or Romanian origin. They did not
appear to be having any kind of conversation. With them was a
child, (girl - 3-3 1/2 years ?) in a basic type buggy
(not...?...)(word illegible) )...with a blue seat. The little
girl was trying to get out of the buggy, she.....

out underneath the hat, her hair colour looked similar to

Sir,
Ref : Disappearance of Madeleine McCann - Possible sighting at
CALAIS on 3rd June 2007.
At 1558 hours on Wednesday 5th September 2007 sopke to Sharon
Doreen (maiden name SINCLAIR) OKPAIRE, born 27th March 1961 in
Jamaica, at her home address, xx, Fxxxxxxxx Hxxxxxx, Exxxxxxxx
Hxxx, Broadfield, Crawley, West Sussex.
She states she visited Calais for a shopping day on 3rd June
2007 with her friends, the Vxxxxxxx's from, xx, Fxxxxxxxx
Hxxxxxx. Whilst at a hypermarket she saw the subject with a male
and a female. She did not approach them, she did not tell the
Vxxxxxxx's and she did not notify anybody else at the
hypermarket.
She described them as follows :
1) Female, white, 6'6", 40-45 years old, long black hair, dark
clothes, carrying a brown handbag, would recognise again.
2) Male, white, 5'10", stocky build, black hair with grey in it,
40-45 years old, stubble, would recognise again.
3) Madeleine - Blonde hair, didn't see eyes, pink outfit and
pink shoes.
All were speaking English.
Witness saw them buy the girl a toy from an arcade machine and
leave the store when they saw her looking at them.
Subject went to Waterloo Station on 1st September 2007 to search
for Madeleine because she presumed you could get a train from
there to Calais. Witness pays constant attention to news of the
missing child and prays every day for her safe return.
She reported the matter to Police on 21st August 2007 when they
knocked on her door regarding another incident with her
neighbours. She did come into Crawley Police Station to report
the sighting on 5th June and passed info to Front Office Staff
on rear of piece of envelope, she didn't want to wait in the
queue to explain what had happened.

I was going through my E-mails as I was looking for details of

dozeymare : Two of my children always went to sleep really fast
with the excitement of the day while on holiday but one of them
would fight their tiredness and had paddy attacks (temper
tantrums) every night till finally crying themselves to sleep,
perhaps if the McCanns wanted their meal they did give her
something to make her sleep.

with her parents. However, on
arriving home and watching TV, the
caller realised that Madeleine is
still missing.
The little girl had clear green eyes
but it was impossible to see the
mark on the iris due to the very
bright sun. Her hair was partly
blonde and partly brown and the
caller thinks it may have been dyed.
The child was accompanied on the
beach by an elderly couple
approximately 65 years old. The
couple were in possession of a towel
from Barcelo Hotel ( the only hotel
in this area ) and the caller thinks
they may have been staying there.
The elderly female told the other
children that the little girl was
named Iness but whenever they called
out this name, she did not respond.
The elderly man stayed very close to
the child and did not appear happy
that the other children wanted to
play with her.
The caller is willing to speak to
the Police.

Information :
In relation to Madeleine McCann, I
have just returned from a holiday in
AYAMONTE on the Spanish and
Portuguese border.
On Sunday, 3rd June 2007, at about
1.30pm I was at the Punta Del Moral
Marina, when I saw a blue two-door
car, typically Spanish, being all
battered. It stopped in the Marina,
and the driver got out an pulled his
seat forward. I then saw firstly a
Spanish looking girl aged 9-10
years, with long dark hair, who
looked very sad, and sat next to her
in the back was a child of about 4
years, who was wearing a blue
baseball type cap. I could not see
what sex the child was.
The driver was Spanish looking, late
30's, tall and slim, long black hair
in a ponytail, wearing a red vest
top. He seemed to be looking round
the Marina, but after a minute he
pushed his seat forward, got in the
car and drove off the Marina.

....Englishman about 6ft tall with short dark hair. He called
out to her, calling her 'Maddie'. At that point, myself and
several other English people sat nearby, turned to look as that
is not a name you hear too often. The man picked her up and
carried her away and out of view. The bar is very popular with
locals as well as holidaymakers and dimly lit and I wasn't able
to see where they went. The events of that night troubled me
over the next couple of days and eventually as I read an English
newspaper I found the number that I called. Despite the parents
appeals on Spanish TV I didn't see one poster anywhere in the
resort. I have left it until now in the hope that the recent
events proved to be a hoax in Portugal. I am convinced I saw her
that night and I did try to report what I saw. I may be totally
wrong but I am happy that I have had the opportunity to tell you
about it. Please do not hesitate to contact me if required.

Subject : D284 - Interpol result-poss sighting Barcelona
This is a reply from Spain regarding a possible sighting in
Barcelona (D284, already sent). Although it concludes that the
caller may have some issues, there are still unresolved
questions regarding the addresses visited by local Police and
the refusal of the occupants to account for a child. The vehicle
owner does not seem to have been traced and interviewed either.
Can the Portuguese Incident Room consider if this result is
satisfactory for them or if further work is needed.
Please advise if they wish us to make any approach for further
work or if they wish to speak directly to Spain.

From the sentences and phrases I have been able to make out the
Portuguese at the bottom of the page is a translation of the DC
Hughes English message above it.
Personally, I do not think any part of the report was
overwritten. I think the earlier (lower) e-mail at 12:55 from
Whiting @soca to Hughes and 'task' @leics would be something
like "Please see the attached received from {whomever}"
Also, in the middle of the page is the handwritten instruction "
Speak with Freitas! ", presumably a reference to the Scotland
Yard man.

Beth MCCANN, born 12th May 2003. Below is what we have obtained
regarding the information supplied by Pilar FANDOS in Barcelona.
Mrs Pilar FANDOS lives at xx-xx-xx Cxxxx Montserrat de
Casanovas.
Between 5th and 6th May 2007 she saw a black Ford Orion inside
of which were 3 adults and a girl aged around 4. A woman aged
about 30 got out with the girl followed by a man of about the
same age as the woman and an older man.
When Mrs FANDOS saw them, she thought they were new occupants of
the development but changed her mind because they did not have
any luggage.
They only had material for the child, a child seat, a cot in
it's packaging and a children's playground(sic) (sic). Mrs
FANDOS said that she did not see the 2 men clearly but added
that the younger man was quite attractive.
Regarding the woman who was carrying the child, she said that
she was about 30 years old, slim build, approximately 1.65
metres tall with short brown hair with a central parting. She
had brown eyes and was tanned.
The child was about 4 years old with a mark on her right eye.
She was wearing a red dress and frilly socks.
The following day, Mrs FANDOS saw the same socks hanging in the
window of the apartment 2-1 in Stairwell A of her building. As a
result she thought that the girl and the people she had seen the
previous day lived there.
Mrs FANDOS explained that during the same week, she saw a young
man who was quite shabbily dressed acting in a vigilant manner.
When he became aware of Mrs FANDOS's presence, he changed his
manner and began making strange gestures in the doorway. He
subsequently left in a top-of-the-range gold coloured Peugeot
607 (or similar) driven by someone else about whom she could not
give any details but she saw him a few days later entering a
private garage at 'x', Cxxxx Alta de Pedrell. Inside this
vehicle she saw a girl of about 4 years of age with a hairstyle
similar to that of Madeleine (MCCANN).
Mrs FANDOS stated that she made several calls to the Mossos de
Esquadra.....

...(Police Force of the Catalan Autonomous Region) and has
attended a Police Station to report what she had seen. As a
result, Officers from the Investigation Unit of Les Corts Police
Station went to Apartment 2-1-A in her building. The person who
answered the door refused the Officers entry to check whether
the child was at the address. Mrs FANDOS wished to express her
unhappiness that the Officers did not have a Search Warrant.
Mrs FANDOS added that after the Officers had attended the
address, she came across the woman whom she had seen a few days
before with the girl.
She followed her until she entered 'xx', Cxxxx Pintor Padilla.
She later found out that this property is owned by Mrs Jxxx
Cxxxxx Cxxxxxx Bxxxxx.
In light of this, she again called the Police. A Patrol attended
but were unable to carry out anything at the address.
Mrs FANDOS states that she has been to the Court in Barcelona to
report the matter and that she has been referred to the Mossos
de Esquadra.
As a result, Mrs FANDOS called the Policia National who twice
called her from Madrid for more details. Subsequently 2 Officers
in plain clothes visited her home and identified themselves as
Policia National Officers, explaining that they had been making
enquiries in the area and that in her building there was a girl
of very similar appearance to the missing Madeleine. The
declarant told them that it was not the same one she had seen
getting out of the car and added that from her home she had even
heard the missing girl(sic) (sic) calling for her mother in
English.
Mrs FANDOS also said that on another day she saw a young man
very similar to the attractive man she had seen on the first day
in a black Ford Orion. This man entered the building and went to
Apartment 2-x, Stairwell A. She added that she had seen the same
vehicle parked nearby on several days. It's registration is
'x-xxxx-xx'.
Various enquiries have been made in the local area but it has
not been possible to corroborate the abovementioned information
since according to Mrs FANDOS since the day when uniformed
Police attended the building to make the initial enquiries,
these people have not been seen again.
Neither have the vehicles mentioned. Neither has it been
possible to extract any relevant information in respect of the
addresses mentioned.

We would point out that the information supplied by Mrs FANDOS
has presumably als been checked by other Spanish Police bodies
and that they have also not observed any criminal activity or
seen Madeleine Beth MCCANN.
It is worthy of note that the impression of the Officers who
interviewed Mrs FANDOS is that she may be suffering from some
kind of mental illness or obsessive compulsive disorder since
although in principle during the interview she was coherent and
gave considerable details, the Officers had the impression that
they were dealing with an excessively observant person.
Additionally, during the interview there were numerous
inconsistencies and obsessive repetitions.
At the end of the interview, Mrs FANDOS stated that for many
years she had been undergoing Psychiatric Treatment and that she
was currently out of work, although she did not indicate why.
However, intuition suggests that it is because she is still
undergoing the same treatment.

He states that he and his wife were on holiday from 5th June -
19th June 2007 in Malta.
On 11th June they were in Mellieha waiting on some steps for a
bus when he became aware of a male person with a small child.
The child was whimpering and as the Maltese are very
pro-children he was concerned that this male person did not seem
to be too concerned about her.
The male seemed to know the area as he was looking towards a
small butcher's shop and clothes shop.
They left just prior to Collier and his wife boarding the bus.
They headed towards Goxo.
The male was 50ish, 5'8"-5'10" tall, dark balding hairstyle,
round face and looked too old to be the child's father. He was
naturally tanned and "Spanish looking".
The child was approx 3', didn't see her face so can't comment on
shin colour, dressed all in pink with a pink hat on. She had
shoulder length flowing hair starting to curl, mousy brown in
colour.

Information :
Husband saw whilst driving in PARIS, today about 1800 French
time, on Industrial Estate GARONOR, near Paris, and saw an open
Sierra, black, 4 Muslim women, heads covered, child in child
seat in back of car with blond hair.
Husband in lorry so could see what gone to a roundabout and
child was sat in back car, gone up and turned round exit shut
up, and child was covered over with blanket or covering, made
him suspicious.
Registration - Opel Safari, black- 'xxxx xx xx', French
registration.

I thought it was 'odd' that a little girl was out in her pyjamas
I then saw them go in a Grey Whitish two seater truck I not sure
of the registration number but I remember a 'xxxxxxxxxxx'
The number plate was a black digit against a white background
I remember Madeleine hopping to keep up with the man I also seen
the man's face it was remarkly similar to the man on the news

Also he was of stocky build and not tall I remember the man also
was not wearing sunglasses but black translvent ones
The time I remember was around 601 and 7 o'clock He got into the
car and drove off
This man was small in height 57 - 59 ft in height
He was between at least size 16 - 20
He was in his early 30s to mid 35/36
I also recall a small care follow the two seater truck I had
distinct design on the back of the car like shutter style
railings
It was a small brown - red car (sporty) and this was on the back
of the car
A woman with a 'bob' style haircut was driving this car She was
in her late 20's about 28 onwards
Please do not discount my information
I know and have been told the MCCANN parents have left their
children on their own before this incident occurred My heart
goes out to the MCCANN family I have two children myself and I
am afraid the prople who took Madeleine could be dangerous
therefore I am deeply sorry that I cannot let you know my name
Please I pray for Madeleine's safe return

reported sighting, on the 4th July 2007, by a family named
Svendsen-Cook, in Riviera de Sol, near Mijas, Spain. This entry

The report then continues thus :
A man - with short light brown hair in light coloured ? (word
illegible), shorts.
They were trying to get a little girl of Madeleine's description
out of the car but she did not want to get out and was making it
uneasy for the two adults. They got her out but realised my
daughter and I had noticed the fuss which was going on. The lady
was holding the little girl and turned her round so we could not
see her face. All this happened in a matter of seconds - they
sat the little girl on a low wall next to the path we walked
past. The lady asked the little girl why she was making so much
fuss and the little girl said, "He is always telling me what to
do and I don't like it". He sat next to her and spoke very good
English however I cannot remember what she(sic) said. But I can
remember that not at anytime did the little girl call the adults
mummy and daddy.
The little girl was tightly hugging 3 cuddly toys - the biggest
was a pink and white stripey bagpuss.
She did not look at all happy but she was clean - only her hair
needed a good brush.
It seemed obvious that the adults were not English but the small
child was.
My daughter and I went into one shop and I believe they went
into the supermarket next door, my husband went to a cash point
nearby and he noticed what the car was.

All this happened very quickly and it was not until we got back
to our apartment that we all realised we were worried about what
we had seen, and as I had said before we have been trying to
tell somebody since. We returned to the UK on Saturday.

Hi, Please find below the details of an Italian
gentleman Mr Bruno Valle, who has just called a
colleague of mine at the FCO in London.
Mr Valle is currently in Germany and says that he
recently (last week?) saw a girl who looked like
Madeleine in Tempelhof (airport?) in Berlin. She
spoke to him and said “I’m Madeleine”.
Mr Valle has not reported this to the German police.
He wants to speak to a police officer in the UK. He
speaks some English. His number is ****.
